Celebrating the Opening of Coral Gables Fire House

The ribbon cutting ceremony for Coral Gables Fire House #4, which took place Friday, March 27th celebrated an important milestone for both public safety and the surrounding community. The new station strengthens emergency response capabilities for the City of Coral Gables while also reinforcing the City’s commitment to creating public spaces that serve and connect residents. More than just a fire station, Fire House #4 delivers an investment in both protection and community presence.

The City of Coral Gables developed this new approximately 10,323-square-foot, two-story fire station with a mezzanine level, two apparatus bays, eight dormitories, and all associated site and utility improvements to better serve the community. The project also pursues LEED Silver certification, reflecting a commitment to long-term sustainability and thoughtful civic development.

More Than a Public Safety Facility

Fire House #4 offers more than a traditional emergency response facility. In addition to expanding fire and rescue coverage for Coral Gables’ southern neighborhoods, the project includes a neighborhood park on the northern portion of the site, creating a stronger connection between the station and the residents it serves. The ribbon cutting and public open house further emphasized that community-centered purpose by welcoming residents to experience the facility not only as an operational asset for first responders, but also as a visible civic investment rooted in service, accessibility, and neighborhood presence.

At West, giving back to the community is more than a principle; it defines who we are. We pursue opportunities to create spaces that not only meet practical needs but also strengthen the communities they serve. The chance to enhance, refresh, and reflect the beautiful and dynamic spirit of Florida fuels our passion for this work. Through every project, we strive to leave something lasting, spaces that support connection and a stronger sense of place.
