This tradition dates back to the 1800s, when firefighters would manually push their horse-drawn apparatus back into the station after returning from a call. Today, it symbolizes teamwork, pride, and the official placement of a new apparatus into service. 🤝🔥![]()

Phil Foster Park underwent a full-scale renovation that reimagined the site into a dynamic, multi-use recreational destination—all while maintaining public access throughout construction. A key priority was keeping 50% of the boat ramps and adjacent parking operational at all times, ensuring the boating community experienced zero interruption.![]()

This project placed a strong emphasis on marine infrastructure, including new docks, bulkhead and seawall repairs, and upgraded boat ramps. On land, the park was enhanced with a new lifeguard/restroom facility, equipment storage building, shaded pavilions, a children’s playground, and a variety of site amenities designed for the community to enjoy.![]()
