Employee Spotlight: Years of Teamwork and Dedication

Mary has spent five years helping West Architecture + Design, LLC deliver projects for the communities we serve. As a Project Manager with 16 years of experience in the architecture industry, she brings architectural knowledge and a collaborative approach to our team. Her recent completion of the City of Boynton Beach – Utilities West Water Treatment Plant – Water Quality Laboratory Renovation gives us an opportunity to recognize both this achievement and her contributions throughout her time at West.

From architectural production to coordination with construction teams, Mary brings practical experience to her work. She is a valued team player whose contributions help connect the design process with the needs of the people who build and use our projects.

Mary earned her Bachelor in Architecture from Simon Bolivar University in Caracas, Venezuela. At West, she supports architectural production and manages projects, drawing on her knowledge of building, fire safety, and accessibility codes. Her experience with BIM and CAD tools, including Revit and AutoCAD, supports the development and coordination of project documents.

Working with construction teams is an important part of Mary’s role. Her architectural background helps her understand how design decisions carry through to the field, while her collaborative approach supports the coordination needed to move a project forward. Within our office, that same team spirit makes her a valued colleague and contributor to our shared work.

Most recently, Mary served as Project Manager for the Boynton Beach Water Quality Laboratory Renovation, now celebrated with a ribbon cutting. West Architecture + Design provided architectural and engineering design services for approximately 6,380 square feet of renovations across two floors of the existing facility, updating laboratories, offices, and restrooms.

The improvements included new laboratory millwork, replacement equipment, and an upgraded exhaust hood system, along with coordinated electrical, plumbing, and mechanical modifications. Updated finishes and supporting building improvements renewed the spaces used by the City’s water quality professionals. The project supports daily water quality testing and the City’s ability to maintain laboratory certification and meet regulatory requirements.

Mary’s project experience also includes the Lindsey Davis Senior Center, Boynton Beach Utilities Administration Building, Pence Park and Pompano Ocean Rescue Headquarters. These projects reflect the range of municipal and public service facilities she has helped our team develop.

As we celebrate the laboratory’s completion, we also celebrate Mary and the experience she brings to West. Thank you, Mary, for five years of contributions, for being a team player, and for helping our firm deliver projects that serve our communities. We are glad to have you on the team.

“I see her dedication to design and commitment to teamwork reflected in her work and the way she supports those around her. Her go-getter spirit brings positive energy to the workplace and helps strengthen our company culture. She is a valued colleague who contributes to both our projects and our team.”
