PROJECT INFORMATION

This 2,695-square-foot, two-story addition enhances the operations and presence of an established 7,742-square-foot community center. Strategically placed on the west end of the existing courtyard, the new structure was carefully designed to echo the architectural language of the original building, ensuring a cohesive and timeless aesthetic. Serving as a hub for youth engagement and education, the facility now accommodates expanded after-school programming while maintaining its welcoming character.

ARCHITECTURAL CONTINUITY & PROGRAMMATIC EXPANSION

The design prioritizes seamless integration, with complementary materials, scale, and detailing that reinforce the identity of the existing community center. Within, the addition provides a variety of program spaces—including a game room, classroom, computer room, office, break room, and conference area—all connected by efficient circulation and enhanced by the inclusion of an elevator and stairs for accessibility. Together, these elements enrich the building’s role as both an educational environment and a social anchor, offering the community a versatile, future-ready resource.
