PROJECT INFORMATION
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park stands as a powerful tribute to the enduring legacy of one of America’s most iconic leaders. Designed as a place of both reflection and community connection, the park features a central Globe Monument sheltered by a pavilion inspired by 1920s Mediterranean vernacular architecture—a nod to the historic character of Lake Worth.
CELEBRATING DR. KING’S VISION IN A CIVIC LANDMARK
At the heart of the park lies a flexible amphitheater-style space, framed by a graceful shade trellis, allowing for outdoor performances, ceremonies, and informal gatherings. Throughout the site, decorative pavers, etched plaques, pre-cast benches, and a custom monument sign offer educational and commemorative elements that reinforce the spirit of Dr. King’s vision.
The surrounding landscaping was carefully curated to create a welcoming environment year-round, enhancing the park’s role as a civic landmark and cultural touchstone for the Lake Worth community.
