PROJECT INFORMATION
The BHSF – 508W – Reception Renovation project involved the conceptual design for the renovation of the existing reception area at Baptist Health South Florida, Suite 508, located at 8950 N. Kendall Drive in Miami, Florida. The scope included demolition of the walls separating the secretary’s area from the waiting room, removal of low walls within the waiting area, and the complete renovation of the reception desk and two workstations to create a more open, functional, and welcoming environment. The project also addressed accessibility concerns by modifying the access doors from the waiting area to improve ADA compliance.
IMPROVED ACCESSIBILITY AND A MORE WELCOMING ARRIVAL EXPERIENCE
This renovation was envisioned to enhance both the functionality and appearance of the reception area, creating a more efficient workspace for staff while improving the overall experience for patients and visitors. By opening the space and reconfiguring key elements within the waiting and reception areas, the design supported better visibility, circulation, and day-to-day operations. The upgrades also prioritized accessibility and code compliance, ensuring the renovated suite provided a more inclusive, modern, and user-friendly entry point within the facility.
